Biography

Christopher Lee Lewis

Christopher Lee Lewis hails from the charming town of Oblong, IL, but has called greater Los Angeles home for the past 20 years. His musical journey began at the tender age of four when he first picked up the drums. Christopher's love for the stage was evident early on, as he would book private shows to dance at and often sell tickets to his friends to watch him perform.

As a teenager, Christopher's butt-rock quartet caught the public eye, leading to his appearance on the traveling Star Search, resulting in a $500 record deal with a Nashville-based label and an immediate split of the group.

In 2002, his teenage band, The Kinison, signed to Atlantic/LaSalle Records and went on to play hundreds of shows, release one EP, and a full-length album -- they even graced the main stages of Coachella and two Warped Tours.

After a decade away from music and not one to rest on his laurels, Christopher released two LPs under the moniker LEWIS in 2020 and 2023.

Christopher maintains a delightful mix of distrust and anxiety about the future. His latest project, the album They Haven't Figured Out What's Wrong With Me, is set to release on July 26th, 2024, on Sweet Cheetah Records. With a sense of humor and a hint of nervous energy, Christopher aims to continue writing, releasing music, and annoying his doctor.
